Specialty Cut Flowers

In the summer the fields at TALMAR are filled with Specialty Cuts, which are flowers grown for fresh or dried floral displays. The fields are opened seasonally to the general public one day a week when they may cut their own flowers. Our consumers cut and bunch flowers selling to anyone wishing to purchase them prearranged. Two days a week, consumers also sell directly to the public or at area farmers markets.

Talmar's Cut Flowers

Two seasons ago, TALMAR implemented a Flower Subscription Program. Similar to a cooperative Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, the Flower Subscription Program provides a mutually beneficial arrangement between farmer/growers and the community. In exchange for financial support in the spring from the subscribers, the grower (TALMAR’s consumers and staff) commits to provide organically grown, specialty cut flowers weekly throughout the growing season.
