Floral design is the only design occupation that does not require formal postsecondary training; most floral designers learn their skills on the job. Consequently, Talmar is an ideal environment to provide vocational training for anyone wanting to learn the basics of the trade. All of the flowers that we sell are grown in our fields, then are cut, conditioned and arranged into displays of various sizes and shapes. These workers design these displays by selecting flowers, containers, and ribbons and arranging them into bouquets, centerpieces for tables, wreaths, and the like for the market and other special occasions.
